Der Wald Portugal recognizes that the UN's Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals are the common vision for humanity, a contract between world leaders and the people and ‘a list of things to do on behalf of the people and the planet’.
Leoni Portugal chooses to go one step further in its sustainability strategy.
We decided to actively collaborate by creating the 1st Leoni Portugal Forest.
We are committed to agroforestry, which goes further than reforestation, which is at the mercy of nature.
This initiative consists of giving fruit trees to local communities in Tanzania and Malawi. In this way, we are contributing to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (social inclusion, economic development, food safty and environmental protection) and promoting peace, justice and effective institutions.
We dedicate each one of these trees to our employees and customers, so that they can embrace the sustainable cause with Leoni Portugal.
