At the end of 2019, we have created&nbsp; the first forest of "Avio Aero for the Sky" composed by 300 forest and fruit trees. The beneficiaries will be the skies, but also the people of Kenya, the location of the intervention: local farmers will be involved in the planting that it will give them an income opportunity in a logic of circular economy that produces value at every stage of the life cycle.

Avio Aero for the Sky

Avio Aero is a GE Aviation business that designs, manufactures and maintains aeronautical components and systems. In Italy and Poland over 5,200 people are working on the development of technologies that are part of 80% of airplanes that every day fly all around the world.Today 2% of global CO2 pollution is generated by air traffic. Avio Aero wants to play a leading role in achieving the goals of the Paris agreements on emissions reduction through collaborations with the main Universities for the development of greener products, participations in European research projects and cooperations with other private organizations and institutions.To give birth to something that goes beyond the constant technological commitment, the corporate sustainability project "Avio Aero for the Sky" was born.
