Climate protection is important and yet is not taken seriously by many. We are very aware of the importance of the topic and therefore do what leaders have never done: we make clear statements and present a decision.Accenture will source 100 percent of its electricity from renewables in all offices around the world by 2023. This pays off decisively to the "Science-Based Target" announced by Pierre Nanterme. This goal is to dramatically reduce our absolute emissions by 2025 and bring us closer to climate neutrality. With Accenture's own goal, we are one of over 600 companies worldwide participating in the Science-Based Target initiative.We have also come up with a creative solution for you as our customer. Because we have a tree planted for you through our partner company Treedom and you can track it easily online. Every tree at Treedom has its own online page, is geolocated and photographed and can be maintained or given away.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
