The Forest

Il Madagascar è un’isola unica, tanto da essere definita “l’ottavo continente” per la sua straordinaria biodiversità. Ma la deforestazione minaccia gravemente questo fragile ecosistema. Per questo Viaggigiovani.it, insieme a Treedom e al partner Tsyriparma, sostiene la Foresta di Vohidahy, promuovendo sistemi agroforestali sostenibili che offrono un’alternativa concreta e duratura alla pratica dello “slash and burn”, tutelando l’ambiente e creando nuove opportunità per le comunità locali.

The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
