The Forest
The Alstom Italy Forest, established in 2022, represents Alstom's tangible commitment to environmental sustainability. This project was created with the aim of contributing to the absorption of CO2 from the atmosphere and supporting agroforestry projects, generating a positive impact on both the environment and the local communities involved. Initially consisting of 370 trees, the Forest has grown to reach 2,000 trees across 10 different countries, actively involving Alstom employees and business partners. The initiative also includes the planting of trees in Italy, specifically in the municipalities of Afragola and Bitonto, to support the communities in the territories where Alstom operates.Every action counts, together we can make a difference!
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
