Sustainability has been anchored as a cornerstone of the company’s corporate strategy.We promote sustainable development along our entire value chain and are aware of our economic, ecological and social responsibilities for the current and future generations. We are giving each of our employees a tree in Madagascar to celebrate special occasions. A particularly valuable gift – sustainable, ecological and social. Together we are building the dormakaba employee forest, thereby supporting reforestation, creating jobs for small farmers and doing our bit for our environment.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
