The Forest
FITA is committed to valuing the environment through the creation of its own forest to ensure that sport, particularly Taekwondo, contributes to building a greener future. The first step comes through the collaboration with Treedom, specifically with the planting of 500 trees to create the first forest of a sports federation. The "Kim e Liù - FITA" forest was born with the project "Kim and Liù Growing Together", a tournament dedicated to children from 6 to 11 years old, with the aim of bringing even the youngest children closer to the awareness and importance of environmental sustainability. We can all work together to have a positive impact and live in a better, sustainable world thanks to the commitment of the sports world and the strength of teamwork. This is the key to success!
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
The trees in the forest will absorb:
166.90 t* of CO₂
