The Forest
At Ferrer we are totally committed to environmental protection. Because we want to ensure a liveable planet, for ourselves and for future generations. Our aim is to reduce our direct greenhouse gas emissions by 50% and indirect emissions by 25% by 2030.To do this, we have defined a Climate Strategy with six ambitious commitments to reduce our emissions. And those emissions that we cannot reduce will be offset by reforestation projects in order to be carbon positive by 2030. As such, we have neutralized our direct emissions for 2020 with this forest. With this ‘Forest for good’, we want to offset the emissions that we generate, protect the environment and promote social cohesion projects in the different areas where ‘our’ trees are growing.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
The trees in the forest will absorb:
6,359 t* of CO₂
