The Forest
From 2020, to celebrate the 10 years of its sustainability plan and develop it further, Desmet Ballestra Spa - Mazzoni LB Soap will be offering its customers the opportunity to compensate for the emissions related to the execution of every project. In the early phase of each new project, the Mazzoni team, with the support of Treedom, will estimate the CO2 emissions related to the transportation of equipment to site as well as the travelling of its technicians, and will offer its customers the opportunity to offset these emissions by planting new trees in its forests.To support this initiative and encourage its customers to participate, Mazzoni has made a commitment to plant a minimum of 1,000 trees in 2020 in the forests distributed over 4 continents. In particular, 10 trees will be donated for every new project initiated in 2020. Every customer will be able to choose where to plant these trees, in one of the Mazzoni forests developed by Treedom.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
