The Forest
On the occasion of World Asthma Day, Menarini Group has decided to plant 1000 new trees. This number holds great symbolic value as it is approximately equal to the number of people who die from asthma worldwide on a daily basis. Through this initiative, the Menarini Group aims to reaffirm its commitment to creating more awareness about asthma, with the ultimate hope of a future where asthmatic patients can finally breathe freely.Planting trees on World Asthma Day highlights the significance of breathing well and being mindful of the environment. Asthma patients face increased risks due to climate change, pollution, and shifts in pollination cycles caused by seasonal changes. Therefore, the initiative to plant 1000 trees encompasses two fundamental themes of the Menarini Group's mission: promoting people's well-being and caring for the environment. This tangible effort is part of a larger sustainability plan integrated into Menarini's business model and aims at ensuring long-lasting effects.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
The trees in the forest will absorb:
