The Forest
The Petit Bateau forest wants to celebrate the choice of the brand to realize, from 2020, 100% of the Newborn collection in organic cotton. Behind this project there is a long-term commitment and a real challenge: reconciling attention to the environment with the high quality requirements that already characterize the company. Organic cotton in fact optimizes the use of water and preserves the quality of the soil, biodiversity and health of local farmers in an integrated vision of well-being.In the boutiques and direct Petit Bateau stores, an exclusive birth kit in organic cotton will be available from January 2020, including the planting of a tree in the context of Treedom's agroforestry projects. With the gift it will be possible to associate the name of a child to a tree, a strong message that will make them grow with a special sensitivity towards nature. We believe there is a particular synergy between the planting of a tree and one of the most important phases of life: the birth of a child.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
