The Forest
As a world market and technology leader in the field of machinery and plant engineering for the coffee processing industry, PROBAT traditionally lives up to its social and ecological responsibility. Currently, climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time and PROBAT is committed to an ambitious goal: Through consistent avoidance and reduction measures, the company's emissions must be reduced to zero by 2030 (Net Zero).And we are also using the CONNECTING MARKETS Symposium 2022 as an opportunity to intensify our efforts along this path. Instead of another guest gift, we have decided, in cooperation with our partner Treedom, to plant a tree in a mixed forest in Tanzania for every visitor to the event. And this project has a very special meaning for us. Through our involvement in the SONGWA project, we have already been active in this region for several years with a social coffee farm project. At the same time, we also support an internationally recognized and certified forest protection project in Colombia. Besides other benefits of protecting nature, forests are among the most important CO2 reservoirs on the planet. Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose.
