The Forest
This year Savinelli has activated a partnership that gives concrete value to the principles of sustainability and respect for the environment: it has planted its first corporate forest with Treedom in three different continents (Africa, Asia and South America).With this project, we contribute to some of the objectives in the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs) including: sustainable consumption and production, the fight against climate change, economic growth in development areas and life on earth.In fact, trees play a crucial role both from an environmental viewpoint and a social viewpoint, with a huge impact for local communities.We want to share this project with all our customers around the world: on the occasion of the International Pipe Smoking Day on February 20th, those who buy a pipe on our site will be given a tree that can be planted remotely via the Treedom web platform. Each user will be able to learn and track the history of their tree and the area where it belongs, through the voices of the people who take care of it.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
