There is no Christmas without a tree. And this year SICIM is gifting you the tree!Not the classic Christmas fir... possibly a better one! We go all the way to Kenya, giving you a mangrove; or to Guatemala with a lime plant; or, again, to Haiti with an orange tree.SICIM launches a long-term initiative: a concrete action to help absorbing CO₂, protecting soil and biodiversity, and sharing economic and social benefits with local communities. We are not just planting trees. We are sowing jobs, food resources or income support, but above all hope for a more sustainable future.In other words, it is our way of wishing you Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. May this act have a meaningful and positive impact on other people's lives as well.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
