The Forest
The UMH Vision highlights that it wants to be a University of quality and excellence, with international prestige in the field of education, research, transference of knowledge, management and contribution to economic and socio-cultural development under a model of Sustainable Development. It aspires to be a socially responsible University, based on ethical values, principles of budgetary efficiency and linked to the territory, which encourages the promotion of healthy lifestyles, equity, respect for diversity and environmental conservation.On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the UMH, this Forest of 250 trees marks the path of the policies of participation of the university community for social transfer and sustainable development.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
