The motto behind this forest project is "We go the extra mile." To be specific, this means that, although we have been making sure that the cellulose for our filter sheets is sourced from sustainably managed forests for a long time now, we feel we want to do more. We want to go the extra mile and make a voluntary contribution to sustainable, greener development. Together we will be establishing a company forest over the coming years. For every kilogram of cellulose used for filter media, we will re-plant twice that amount as trees. This will make our main raw material not only climate-neutral, but actually climate-positive. Tree, by tree, this undertaking will mean we are doing something really worthwhile – and we will be doing this in close cooperation with our business partners and customers. The more customers get on board with us, the bigger our company forest will become, and the greater the effect will be in terms of lowering CO2 levels in the atmosphere. This is our small contribution to preserving the global ecosystem.

FILTROX Family Forest

We are FILTROX, experts in the field of depth filtration for valuable liquids. Our products meet the highest quality standards and are used to remove microparticles for the biotech, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, beverages, and food industries. We have been developing and manufacturing both filtration media and filtering equipment in-house since 1938. The main filtration medium we use is cellulose. Cellulose is made from wood, which is a renewable and CO2-neutral resource. It is really important to us that the tree stock we use is reforested. With this commitment, we are helping to preserve our planet Earth for future generations. In our day-to-day work, we are fully aware of our responsibility toward the environment, which is why we work with partners who share our values.
