For more than 20 years, Guido Berlucchi has been an acknowledged benchmark for its projects embodying innovation and sustainability. The family character of the winery, guided by the second generation and with the third now starting to take its place, has ensured a far-sighted approach and one respectful of natural resources. The winery has always been a sector leader, in fact, in all projects aimed at sustainable management of the local environment. Berlucchi’s initiatives, for example, include partnership with Ita.Ca in monitoring CO2 emissions, and it has installed a solar panel array that supplies 40% of the winery’s energy needs, while water use is gradually being diminished by half. They have eliminated all allergens from the wines and have brought down the level of sulphites to less than half the legally-allowed amount. The company's commitment does not stop: in 2019 we thought to make a concrete contribution to the reforestation of the planet by purchasing, with your help, the first 300 trees with Treedom. Guido Berlucchi is a family-owned wine producer located in the Franciacorta growing area in the province of Brescia.Its winecellar serves as the historic witness to a dream that became a reality in 1961, when a youthful visionary oenologist Franco Ziliani encountered Guido Berlucchi, whose family owned the estate, and created the very first classic-method wine in Franciacorta.That wine contributed to changing the destiny of its growing area, giving rise to the DOCG that today is a true international winemaking phenomenon. Today Franco’s three children - Cristina, Arturo and Paolo - direct the winery, continuing Franco’s pioneering work.
