To this day, Haiti is still one of the poorest territories in the whole world, hardly hit by environmental emergency, by illegal deforestation and hydrogeological damage. The reforestation project we set to support intends to compensate for carbon dioxide emissions, reduce soil erosion, restore hydrogeological stability and to create new woodland and farming areas. Thanks to Treedom, NOOK® aims at improving both environmental and life quality for the Haitian population. The trees of the NOOK® ECO-INSPIRED BEAUTY forest are planted and grown by cooperatives of local farmers. This enables new employment and self-sustenance for the farmers and their families.
