Living and working with the least possible environmental impact is a key goal for each of us — companies and individuals alike.
For those who, like Uno Contract, work in an industry where timber is an important resource, the opportunities to contribute to fighting climate change are many. Our first objective is manufacturing our furniture in an environmentally responsible way. We source our suppliers carefully and only use wood from sustainably managed forests.

By starting our company forest in Tanzania, which will begin gradually and grow over time, we have chosen to take a little step further. Planting trees is an act with many long-term positive consequences, on our planet’s ecosystem but also on the local one and on the livelihood of the farmers who work there. 
Our most recent CSR activities have been in the fields of culture and sports, to the benefit of the community in our own city: Venice. Today, we are starting an initiative that’s based in an African country but looks at the entire planet. Even so, we have chosen to call our forest “Venezia”: as any tree in the world knows very well, roots are important!&nbsp;

UNO Contract is a company specialising in the production of furnishing for luxury hotels, residential hotels and cruise ships. Based in the metropolitan city of Venice and founded in 1985 as a furniture manufacturer, it evolved from its initial vocation for producing custom-made pieces and developed distinctive technical and industrial expertise which it later refined and successfully transferred to what is now its core activity, the contract sector. The company is currently run by the second generation of entrepreneurs from the founding family, who are supported by a highly experienced management team. In its 35-year history it has amassed experience all around the world, delivering projects designed by renowned architecture and interior design firms for the most important brands in the hospitality industry.
