Fin da bambino, in tempi non sospetti, prima della moderna schizofrenia che contraddistingue il rapporto dell’uomo moderno con una non ben definita e purtroppo sconosciuta Natura, prima del grande marketing ambientale, il tema della tutela mi è sempre stato molto a cuore.
Sto parlando degli anni ‘80, quando più o meno all’età di 7/8 anni mi associai al WWF (e lo sono ancora oggi) e cominciai a donare gran parte della mia paghetta per progetti di tutela ambientale o di salvaguardia delle specie a rischio di estinzione.
E senza nessun impulso da parte della mia famiglia che, al contrario, mi osservava un po’ perplessa…
Dopo tanti anni il fascino che provo per il mondo naturale non è cambiato e nemmeno la convinzione che, se proprio non riusciamo a non interferire, (farlo è nella nostra natura), allora dobbiamo fare il possibile per tutelarlo da noi stessi e dalle nostre attività. 
Per il nostro futuro, per le specie animali e vegetali, per rispetto della Vita.
Ho deciso quindi di sostenere un progetto anche con i ricavi delle mie fotografie, donando il 5% di ogni vendita per piantare nuovi alberi nel mondo attraverso la piattaforma Treedom.
