La forêt Chiesi Italia, on the occasion of World COPD Day 2019, renews its commitment in the respiratory field, through the 2nd edition of the SPIROTRAIN project and the involvement of Treedom. The goal of this collaboration is to inform the community by promoting knowledge of COPD, through an awareness campaign aimed at breathing health, emphasizing the importance of a healthy and clean environment, fundamental to the quality of everyone's breath. For these reasons we have created the SPIROTRAIN forest, a lung located in Kenya and made of plants capable of absorbing large quantities of CO2 emissions such as: Avocado, Tree Tomato, Calliandra, Black Mangrove, Pink Cedar. The creation of sustainable ecosystems such as the SPIROTRAIN forest will allow thousands of farmers to provide for the initial costs of planting new trees, guaranteeing food sovereignty and income opportunities. Furthermore, funding the planting of new trees means for Chiesi Italy to contribute to the achievement of the 10 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), established by the United Nations Development Program to ensure a sustainable future.
