The Forest
Each year, GRESB recognizes “Sector Leaders” who are the best performers by sector, region and nature of ownership from across the GRESB Assessments, along with our “Most Improved” participants. The project in Tanzania is focused on fighting coastal erosion, preserving biodiversity and diversifying income opportunities of farmers. So given our work to support the built environment in becoming more resilient and in honor of our 2021 leaders, we are contributing to the Treedom project in Tanzania.GRESB is a mission-driven and industry-led organization that provides actionable and transparent environmental, social and governance (ESG) data to financial markets. We collect, validate, score and benchmark ESG data to provide business intelligence, engagement tools and regulatory reporting solutions for investors, asset managers and the wider industry. Our vision is an investment industry that plays a central role in creating a sustainable world.
Impact
The trees we plant have big ambitions: to bring benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in it. That's why we work with NGOs and local communities to select the right tree for the right place and the right purpose. That’s why we think about the medium and long term, because we’re not content with simply planting trees: we want to see them grow.
The trees in the forest will absorb:
